2011 Honda EVO6 Motorcycle

Honda is preparing to launch into the production EVO6 concept - Muscl-bike with a powerful six-engine, which will to compete with 2009 Yamaha V-Max. For the first time the bike was shown at 2007 Tokyo Motobike Show.

Powerful 6-cylinder unit will inherit the design of the engine Honda Goldwing 1800, and will certainly have the fuel injection system. Cylinders, pistons, crankshaft, connecting rods and other parts will be refined to give 150 hp power.

CPSC, Honda Announce Recall of Off-Road Motorcycles

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Honda Motor Co. Inc., of Torrance Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 22,000 off-road motorcycles. The two bolts that attach the handlebars can break. If the handlebars separate from the motorcycle, the rider loses steering control and can crash, posing the risk of serious injuries.

Honda has received four reports of handlebars separating from these motorcycles. No injuries have been reported. Honda also received four reports of loose handlebars caused by one of the two bolts failing.

The recall includes only years 2000 and 2001 off-road motorcycles with model number XR50R. They are red, and "50R" is written on the sides of the seat on 2000 models, and on the sides of the tank shroud on the 2001 models. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of these motorcycles, listed below, can be found on the left side of the steering head frame tube.

Honda motorcycle dealers nationwide sold these motorcycles from September 1999 through October 2000 for about $1,300.

Consumers should stop using these motorcycles immediately, and call their local Honda motorcycle dealer to schedule a free repair. Registered owners of the vehicles have been notified directly by American Honda about the recall. 

American Honda Motor Corp. Recalls All-Terrain Vehicles for Crash Hazard

The following product safety recall was voluntarily conducted by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of Product: Honda Model Year 2006 TRX450ER/R ATVs

Units: About 11,000

Distributor: American Honda Motor Corp. Inc., of Torrance, Calif.

Hazard: The front suspension arm ball joints could have been contaminated during production, resulting in rapid wear of one or more of the ball joints and possible ball joint separation. If the ball joint separation occurs while riding, the operator could lose control of the ATV.

Incidents/Injuries: American Honda Motor Corp. has received seven warranty claims about this problem. No injuries have been reported.

Description: The recall involves 2006 model year TRX450ER and TRX450R ATVs. They are adult-sized ATVs designed for use by riders age 16 and older. The ATVs are available in red or black. The TRX450ER and TRX450R model names are located on the front cowling just below the handlebars and the name Honda is printed on the seat.

Sold by: Honda dealers nationwide from September 2005 through December 2006 for between $6,600 and $7,000.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using these recalled ATVs until the repair has been completed. Call any Honda ATV dealer to make an appointment to have the ATV repaired. The dealer will inspect and repair your ATV, if necessary. Registered owners of the recalled ATVs have been sent direct notice.
